Breeding 10 field crop species

An expert in varietal innovation for nearly 200 years, the Florimond Desprez Group is involved in various research programmes covering a large number of crops: sugar beet, fodder beet, chicory, soft wheat, durum wheat, barley, triticale, protein peas, soybeans and potatoes.
The wheat varieties CAPPELLE and SOISSONS, CHARLOTTE and AMANDINE potatoes and the beet varieties TISSERIN and JAMON are the result of the Group’s research programmes and have become leading products on the market.

An independent family-owned group specialising in varietal innovation

Florimond Desprez is an independent family-owned business, a French group today under the management of Bruno and François, the 5th generation of the Desprez family. Founded in Cappelle-en-Pévèle in 1830, the company still breeds plant varieties and produces seeds to this day.
The Florimond Desprez Group’s activities are centred on research, innovation and plant breeding.
