Over a period of two days, 26th and 27th October, the town of Moyvillers in the department of Oise became the sugar beet sector’s capital on the occasion of Betteravenir 2016.
Organised by the French Technical Industrial Sugar Beet Institute (ITB) and the Royal Belgian Institute for Beet Improvement, this European trade fair attracted more than 12,000 visitors. Florimond Desprez’s stand drew large numbers, and gave our team opportunities for discussion with farmers about their expectations and about the future of the sector.
AKER was also present at the event to present its programme and the progress of its work to improve the competitiveness of beet in France.
