This year Florimond Desprez hosts the annual meeting of the BreedWheat investment for the future project. Around one hundred researchers meet over three days in Cappelle-en-Pévèle to take stock of the progress of this ambitious project for competitive, sustainable and high quality agriculture.
BreedWheat’s ambition is to support the competitiveness of France’s wheat breeding sector whilst meeting society’s demands in terms of sustainable and high quality production.
This nine-year project brings together 15 state research laboratories, 10 private companies, one technical institute, one competitive cluster and one company specialising in project management and transfer of technology.
